I think it's safe to say that I'd been waiting years for last night. I mean, yes. I bought the tickets themselves only a few months ago, but I've been religiously checking Beirut's website for years - ready to spend any amount of money on tickets to see them, if only they'd come back to LA.
Well they finally did.
We put on jackets and hats and headed out the door into sprinkling rain but by the time we arrived in LA, there was not a raindrop in sight.
They played every song that I hoped they would and sounded amazing.
It was a pretty great Tuesday.
