So I got a little promotion at work several weeks ago!
It happened in a whirlwind.
The director called me into his office, informed me that a teaching position had just become available, offered it to me, and asked me to give my answer by the next day. I weighed the pros and cons (I say that as if there were cons… Maybe there was one.) and happily accepted the job.
Since I'm an afternoon teacher, my hours shifted a bit. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but so far I'm a big fan of the free-weekday-morning situation! Time for a workout, smoothie, some homework (I'm back in school, too!) or just the chance to sleep-in when I need to. Hard to find anything wrong with that! :)
Between preparing for the preschool's Open House, lesson planning, continuing to get myself (and my stuff) situated in the classroom - it's been such a busy and happy time. And getting positive feedback from directors and teachers that I really look up to has made the experience even greater. Sometimes you just need that little boost of confidence during your first few weeks of something new and I'm thankful for every affirmation.
That's so exciting Kelle! Congrats!!
