Today, I'm finding stress and worry manifesting themselves in me as much physically as they are mentally.

I'm certain that things will improve - they always do! But for the moment, I'm feeling pretty blah.
Seems like a very necessary time to focus on blessings and happiness, don't you think?

This week I'm thankful for...

brand new sharpies at work.
cooler weather and a healthy body that can ride a bike.
the smell of bonfire and beach air.
calm moments in the classroom before the preschoolers arrive.
silly moments in the classroom after the preschoolers arrive.
burt's bees lip balm.
meteor showers with people I love.
access to the medicines that I need.
a picnic at the airport with Weston.
the feeling of healthy hair after a fresh cut.
& concert tickets in the mail.

What are you thankful for this week?


  1. the bad days are awful, but isn't it wonderful that there is ALWAYS some good in even the worst days?

    1. Absolutely! Just up to us to find it and focus on it!

  2. I'm thankful for painkillers, Dear Genevieve marathons while recovering, and sudden downpours that last a good long while.

  3. I hope everything is okay and you're hanging in there! Recently, I've been thankful for friends I've made in Africa, running water for the past five days, good variety of tea, produce in my shopping village, and family back home! :)

  4. Settling back into the routine of school
    seeing all my med school friends again
    waking up early
    exercising while watching any silly tv show that's on
