I love death cab for cutie & Iron and wine so much for falling asleep. So calming, relaxing, comforting. Mumford & sons are good as well :) www.adventuresinanalog.blogspot.com
Azure ray is a good one. I like 'Sleep' for falling asleep coincidentally haha! Sufjan and the Stone Siblings are perfect for nighttime. Others off my mellowest playlists include: Water From The Same Source - Rachel's, She Moves She - Four Tet, All the Money I Had is Gone - The Deep Dark Woods, Perfectly Aligned - Milo Greene, and Baby - Gotye. Or I'll just put on the original score to Big Fish or Johann Johannssen's And In the Endless Pause There Came the Sound of Bees.
i love when you post tunes on your blog. bon iver is always my go-to relaxer. ahhh, that trapeze swinger song by iron & wine is one of my favorites! have you heard all waters by perfume genius? it's beautiful.
i definitely had phases in my life when i couldn't fall asleep without listening to music! i can't remember what my go-to songs were. probably what was favorite at that time. nowadays, i can't seem to sleep without having some sort of show, tv drama or movie on. so each night i have my lap top set next to me and i fall asleep to it. thank goodness my husband can sleep through a hurricane!

Tunes by Balmorhea always do the trick for me! Baleen Morning, especially. :) And yes, Mumford & Sons too. :)
ReplyDeleteI go for Eric Whitacre to help me fall asleep. Sleep, Cloudburst, and Lux Aurumque.
